Image
Hey guys, I'm back with a whole bunch of informative posts. Well, if you're wondering why I didn't write posts for so so so long, then I must tell you that I was quite busy and was kinda *air quotes* On a Break *air quotes* Let me explain in detail. So, I was planning to go to US for my undergraduate, so I researched a lot on the topic and I started this blog in an attempt to help you guys with all the necessary information, resources, and help to make thing easier. But I wasn't able to go to US due to financial constraints. But my family assured me that I can still pursue my masters degree from US. So now, I'm a college freshman in India and am devoting my time and energy to prep for my masters education from US. So, I'd be sharing my experiences and thought and we'd be doing this together. We'd be exploring various resources out there for GRE and TOEFL prep and various other things. Also, majority of questions I receive are related to ma...

Things to do after reaching US

Image
Hi guys, I'm back with another helpful article. First of all, I'm again sorry for posting so late but I was sandwiched by my exams and my health issues. From the previous statement, you must've got an idea of how my exams and my health spoiled my near future as my father is all over me for poor results. So I guess you can understand my situation. Writing posts in such a situation is like having a mentos after having 10 liters of coke ;) Not a good example but I hope you got the hang of it. So, let's get started. So, today's article is basically for international students but I guess native students can consider it as a "to do list" after getting on campus. Well, I'm just listing the things I feel are important on reaching the campus of your dream university (I hope you got or will get into your dream university ;) ) but you can prioritize them according to your needs. Get a Sim Card Well, it's for international students. Get a sim...

FAILURE.....Road to Success!!!

Image
Hello friends, I know it's been a while since I posted my last article. But I was a hell lot busy and I wish that duration of a day would have been at least 48 hours to get all the things in place. Last night when I was lying in the bed, I gave a thought to my possible future. I was wondering that what would happen if I go against my parents and pursue my own interest and badly fail at it? Then I thought that a hell lot of people must be wondering about the same. So I decided to put my opinions in the blog and start a healthy discussion on the topic. So, what is success and what is failure? Is failure really the road to success? Can one taste success without failing or is it mandatory to fail at least once to reach success? All these questions along with a lot more took over my mind when I thought about this dangerous topic. So, I would like to ask you the same questions and listen to your opinions on these questions. Below I present my views o...

College life is the best time of everyone's life. So, it's very important for everyone to take the most out of the wonderful college time. So, here I present a list of wonderful things everyone should do before graduating from the college (but without falling into trouble). Actually, I've tried to make this list a perfect list for both the native and international students. So, here we go. 1. Exploring the place Whether you're a native or an international student, freshmen year is all about exploration. As soon as you get on campus, start exploring the campus and the city (after settling down and completing all the formalities at the campus). You'll be fascinated to know about the various college traditions, events, and student groups. 2. Enrolling in the Student Groups/Participating in the college traditions and events Obviously, all those student groups and college traditions aren't just for exploring, are they? They're for participation...

Busting some popular US Higher Education Myths

Image
Hello friends, today I'll be busting some of the most popular myths about US Higher Education and I'm sure that even you believe some of these myths. So sit back, relax, and look for yourself. MYTH: Your parents must have enough wealth to support your studies, a.k.a., You must be rich to even think of US Higher Education. REALITY: I don't know why, but this is the biggest misconception in the minds of international students and their families. But simply, IT'S NOT TRUE. The truth is that there are a lot of funding options available to fund your studies. Study Grants, On Campus Jobs, Scholarships, and Financial Aids are some of the ways to fund your US Education. All the top universities along with some other universities provide need-based financial aid to even international students, i.e., they are determined to make the US Education accessible and affordable for all the students irrespective of their capability to pay the fees. Moreover, ins...
