Application Submitted...What Next?

Image
Hey guys, today's post is a bit interesting. Till now, we've talked about the standardized tests, college lists, college applications and what not. But today, I'll be discussing about the post submission time. So, let's assume that you've successfully submitted your best possible college application, now what? Before we dive into the topic, I want to share a perfect college application submission strategy. So, as I've discussed earlier in my "College List" post, you should submit application to at least 10-12 colleges. Of which, 25% should be "very difficult but possible to get into" colleges, 50% should be "moderately difficult to get into" colleges, and 25% should be "easy to get into" colleges. Now, submit early decision application to your dream college. And if you're confused between two or three dream colleges, then you might go with the one with better acceptance rate. Then, if any of the colleges

Hello friends, I talked about the dos and don'ts for a perfect college application in the previous post. Now, I'll be talking about a perfect interview. Well generally, an admissions officer or an alumni of the college may interview you. The main motive of the interview is to know the applicant better. It's also a chance for you to know the college better. You may not be able to visit the college campus, so it's your chance. What's the interview all about? As I said earlier, interview is all about getting to know the applicant with more clarity. But you should note that you might not get that chance, so your application is the only thing you've got, to convey the message. Don't look at the interview as a hurdle. It's just a normal conversation you&

Hey guys, how's the new look of the blog? Is it good? Is it bad? I'm waiting for your views and suggestions. So, please take out some time for our sweet blog and write a review about the blog along with some valuable advice on how to make it better. Come on man, help me with it. After all, it's not just my blog, it's ours. Okay, so today I'm back with a very important topic. So, today I'll be discussing some valuable points which will help you in submitting your "PERFECT" college application. By the way, feel free to add more in the comments. Don't keep it to yourself. False Claims = Bye Bye Dream College Never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever make false claims in your college application. Were those enough "evers" to make my point? Seriously dude, false claims is a BIG NO NO in a college application. You better try doing 10K push ups without resting rather than trying to get into your dream university with false claims

Hello friends, as I promised, here's the first QNA post on FUSEPP. But before I get started, I'd like to remind you that the Early Decision/Early Action application deadline for most of the prestigious universities is approaching at warp speed (i.e., November 1, 2016) . So , I hope all your applications are either sent or are in final stage. Similarly, Regular Decision deadline for most of the prestigious institutions is January 1, 2017.  So, I'll be writing about some dos and don'ts to keep in mind before pressing that submit button on your screen. So, watch out for that post. So, lets get started. Which is the best/a good university for [xyz] major? Well, this is probably the most frequently asked question. Even before a student starts planning for his studies abroad, he/she asks this question. It is so as it helps you to set a goal, a dream university to aim for. Actually, there are 200+ majors in various US universities, so answer

Things to do after reaching US

Hi guys, I'm back with another helpful article. First of all, I'm again sorry for posting so late but I was sandwiched by my exams and my health issues. From the previous statement, you must've got an idea of how my exams and my health spoiled my near future as my father is all over me for poor results. So I guess you can understand my situation. Writing posts in such a situation is like having a mentos after having 10 liters of coke ;) Not a good example but I hope you got the hang of it. So, let's get started. So, today's article is basically for international students but I guess native students can consider it as a "to do list" after getting on campus. Well, I'm just listing the things I feel are important on reaching the campus of your dream university (I hope you got or will get into your dream university ;) ) but you can prioritize them according to your needs. Get a Sim Card Well, it's for international students. Get a sim
