Things to do after reaching US

Image
Hi guys, I'm back with another helpful article. First of all, I'm again sorry for posting so late but I was sandwiched by my exams and my health issues. From the previous statement, you must've got an idea of how my exams and my health spoiled my near future as my father is all over me for poor results. So I guess you can understand my situation. Writing posts in such a situation is like having a mentos after having 10 liters of coke ;) Not a good example but I hope you got the hang of it. So, let's get started. So, today's article is basically for international students but I guess native students can consider it as a "to do list" after getting on campus. Well, I'm just listing the things I feel are important on reaching the campus of your dream university (I hope you got or will get into your dream university ;) ) but you can prioritize them according to your needs. Get a Sim Card Well, it's for international students. Get a sim...

US College Application Evaluation

Image
Hello friends, I know it's been a long time since I last posted. I wasn't able to take out some time for blogging 'cause you know, it's senior year of the school. Anyway, before kick-starting this article, I have an announcement . 1. You can download the FUSEPP Konekt app and stay connected to the blog and the Facebook Page . 2. For free personal consultation and help on your college application, please fill out the Personal Consultation Form . Okay, now let's get started. So, everyone wants to know how are the college applications evaluated. Well, there's no perfect answer to this question. Every institution has its own way of application evaluation but I can help you in outlining a rough figure. So generally, colleges look at your application only when all the are documents are present. They'll not consider your application until all the required documents reach the institution. They may ask you for more documents if they wish to, so r...

FAILURE.....Road to Success!!!

Image
Hello friends, I know it's been a while since I posted my last article. But I was a hell lot busy and I wish that duration of a day would have been at least 48 hours to get all the things in place. Last night when I was lying in the bed, I gave a thought to my possible future. I was wondering that what would happen if I go against my parents and pursue my own interest and badly fail at it? Then I thought that a hell lot of people must be wondering about the same. So I decided to put my opinions in the blog and start a healthy discussion on the topic. So, what is success and what is failure? Is failure really the road to success? Can one taste success without failing or is it mandatory to fail at least once to reach success? All these questions along with a lot more took over my mind when I thought about this dangerous topic. So, I would like to ask you the same questions and listen to your opinions on these questions. Below I present my views o...

Hey Guys, here I am with another important topic. Actually, you must've heard people say about the importance of college list. Actually, it is one of the most important thing in the whole college application process as it will create a path for your college application process and if you fail to create a good college list, then sorry to say but you may fail to achieve the future you've imagined your yourself. Yes, it is that important. So, what do I mean by a good college list? Well, a good college list is a list of colleges which are a best fit for you and your family. And by family, I mean that the college fee should not create a burden on your family. But before starting, let me ask you a question. Why to even bother to go to college? I bet almost all of you ask this question at some point. So, here's why you should go to college. First of all, college graduates earn a lot more than the high school graduates. Secondly, college prepares you to not just sur...

College Life Bucket List

Image
College life is the best time of everyone's life. So, it's very important for everyone to take the most out of the wonderful college time. So, here I present a list of wonderful things everyone should do before graduating from the college (but without falling into trouble). Actually, I've tried to make this list a perfect list for both the native and international students. So, here we go. 1. Exploring the place Whether you're a native or an international student, freshmen year is all about exploration. As soon as you get on campus, start exploring the campus and the city (after settling down and completing all the formalities at the campus). You'll be fascinated to know about the various college traditions, events, and student groups. 2. Enrolling in the Student Groups/Participating in the college traditions and events Obviously, all those student groups and college traditions aren't just for exploring, are they? They're for participation...

Reappearing for SAT/ACT? Things to consider...

Image
Did you appear for the SAT/ACT and didn't score well? Do you want to reappear for the exam to boost your score? But wait for a second, before registering for the test, just read this article. It may help you to do your best on the test. Are you planning to drop a year and then appear for the exam? On one hand, this option seems to be a decent one but it has some consequences. If you are a high school junior, then you can wait for a year and appear for the exam in your senior year. But if you are in your senior year, then it is a bit risky to drop a year and appear for the exam because you'll need to show something solid in your college application regarding your that one year. Simply showing that you prepped for the SAT/ACT ain't gonna work, especially if you're aiming for highly selective schools. So, think a bit about what you can do in that year (like community service, extracurricular, etc.) to show in your college application. If you have somet...
